Mass awareness on cyber crimes, their prevention and reporting by CICE, J&K in coordination with media fraternity.
In order to spread maximum awareness among the people of J&K, an awareness programme was organised by CICE Kashmir (Crime Branch) to make people aware about the Cyber crimes .The members of different media houses were briefed by Sh Ramnish Gupta,JKPS, SSP, CICE regarding different types of cybercrimes which include digital arrest,online investment frauds,online job frauds,fishing vishing,apk file frauds call merging, sextortion, pig butchering, whatsapp hacking, online friendships, social media frauds, fake sms , fake govt. Links, otp, CVV, pin sharing, call forwarding and various types of frauds,how to maintain proper cyber hygiene and if any crime is committed, report it immediately on *1930 Helpline* or *www.cybercrime.gov.in* and popularise it among the masses so that last man in the row should know about this helpline which is 24*7 available and with timely reporting, the hard earned money of the masses can be saved . The programme was attended by DSP CICE Kashmir, Ashiq Hussain Malik, inspectors Arif Ahmad, Nasir Syed Kirmani, Arshad Mustafa and Masroor Ahmad.The media houses which attended the programme include
