DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews Security Arrangements in Downtown Srinagar
Srinagar, July 13(GNS): Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat, IPS on Monday conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements in Downtown Srinagar.
An official told GNS that the review was carried out in view of restrictions imposed in parts of the city on July 13 for maintenance of law and order.
Accompanied by IGP Kashmir V K Birdhi, DIG Central Kashmir and SSP Srinagar Dr. Sundeep Chakravarthy along with other senior officers, the DGP assessed deployment of forces, traffic management and security measures at key locations in the downtown area.
Officials said all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure peace and prevent any untoward incident.
The police urged citizens to cooperate with security agencies and follow the advisories issued for the day.(GNS)
