Director YSS Inaugurated U.T level Chess competition at Indoor Stadium Budgam.
Budgam performing best in participation of Sports events.
Budgam, CNS,09-Mar:- Director Youth services and sports Gazanfar Ali today inaugurated UT level inter district Chess Competition at indoor Sports Stadium Budgam.
The event was organized by the Department of Youth services and sports Budgam. As many as 119 students from 14 districts of U.T of Jammu and Kashmir will take part in the Competition.
It is Pertinent to mention here that Budgam District is hosting the UT level Chess competition for both Boys and girls for age groups of under 17 and 19.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, the Director YSS said that district Budgam has unique position among all Districts for making best participation in all sports activities. While addressing the participants, he said that participants should focus on their goals and ensure discipline while playing any game. To boost the morale and motivation of the participants. Director YSS Quoted ‘J&K Olympic Skier Aarif Khan’ and talked about his passion and achievement of rear feat in Indian Sports culture.
He said that Government has made special reservation for sports persons in all government jobs to ensure their prosperous future.
Keeping in view the enthusiasm and zeal of youth, the LG government is committed to give new shape to the Sports infrastructure across U.T of J&K, Gazanfar Ali Added.
Earlier in the welcome address, the Youth Services and Sports officer Budgam thanked officials of YSS and all participants in making all sporting events organized by DYSS Budgam at all levels a big success.(CNS)
