Srinagar, Dec 19 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) has said that the process of compiling Class 10 examination results is currently underway, with a significant portion already completed.

Speaking to news agency JKNS, Secretary BOSE, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, said that around 70 percent of the Class 10 results have been compiled so far, while the remaining 30 percent is under process.

“Right now, the process of completion of Class 10 results is ongoing. Almost 70 percent of the results have been compiled, and we are trying our best to complete the remaining work by the first week of January,” he said.

Hassan said that the Class 10 results are most likely to be declared in the first week of January 2026.

Regarding Class 11 and Class 12, he said that practical examinations have recently concluded, which may require additional time for result preparation.

“For Class 12, we expect to declare the results by the second or third week of January 2026, while for Class 11, we will try our best to announce the results by the end of January,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention that Class 10 examinations commenced on November 3, followed by Class 12 on November 8 and Class 11 on November 19. The annual examinations for Class 10 concluded on November 27, for Class 12 on December 3, and for Class 11 on December 13.

Earlier, the Secretary BOSE had informed JKNS that around 95,000 students appeared in Class 10 examinations, approximately 82,000 in Class 11, and about 70,000 students in Class 12.

As reported earlier by JKNS, students were granted a 15 percent relaxation in the syllabus after BOSE approved the decision following multiple representations from stakeholders. The relaxation was approved after a review by a committee headed by the Board Chairman.

The decision was taken after careful consideration to provide relief to students who faced academic disruptions due to the April 22 incident, followed by Operation Sindoor, heatwave conditions, and flood-like situations across Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
