Elegant Strikers Register Back-to-Back Wins in Wular Premier League
Srinagar, May 13: The Elegant Strikers cricket team secured two consecutive victories in a single day in the Wular Premier League, showcasing remarkable performances in matches held at Tarzoo and Ambarpora grounds.
In the first match at Tarzoo, Elegant Strikers faced Kashmir Legends. After winning the toss, Elegant Strikers opted to bat first and posted an impressive total of 216/3. Ahmad Banday led from the front, while Umar Nissar smashed a blistering century (100 off 56 balls). He was supported by Ahmad Banday (43 off 17 balls) and Owais Shah (35 off 26 balls). Kashmir Legends, in response, were bowled out for just 95 runs. Umar Nissar was named Man of the Match, while Owais Shah was awarded Game Changer.
In the second clash at Ambarpora, Elegant Strikers took on Eleven Brothers. Batting first, Eleven Brothers managed only 125 runs. Saqib and Moomin were the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 and 2 wickets respectively. Chasing the target, Elegant Strikers comfortably won the match by 7 wickets, with Owais Shah scoring 61 off 36 balls and Umar Manzoor adding 39 runs. Saqib was declared Man of the Match, while Owais Shah again earned the Game Changer title.
Led by skipper Ahmad Banday, Elegant Strikers displayed teamwork and determination throughout the day. Banday praised his players for their commitment and consistency.
