Youth Workshop Empowers Voices for Digital Change in Srinagar
Srinagar, April 13, 2025 — The Well Wishers Educational Empowerment Initiative (WEEI), in collaboration with Kashmir Pen and Jay Kay Books, organized a one-day workshop titled “From Social Media to Social Change: Using Technology for a Better Tomorrow” at the Kashmir Pen office. Students from Foundation World School and Women’s College actively participated.
The workshop opened with a compelling presentation by Mr. Mushtaque Barq, followed by engaging group activities where participants brainstormed ideas and drafted a youth resolution. Mr. Mukhtar Kanth led the second session with powerful insights encouraging youth to become agents of change.
The resolutions were presented under the guidance of Dr. Satish Vimal and Advocate Asrar Ali, while dignitaries including Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Waseem,Mr. Arshid Dar, and Mr. Mushtaq Bala, editor Kashmir Pen applauded the initiative. The event was smoothly coordinated by Ms. Sadaf.
Mr. Haamid Bala provided full media coverage of the event. Special prizes and certificates were awarded to outstanding participants, and the resolution documents will contribute to ongoing research in digital civic engagement.
