Green Valley Educational Institute Organizes 15th Annual Inter School Business Quiz – The Quizzard: Clash of the Elite 2024
Green Valley Educational Institute successfully hosted its 15th Annual Inter School Business Quiz, “The Quizzard: Clash of the Elite 2024,” on August 8, 2024. The event saw participation from 8 prominent schools, including SP Higher Secondary School, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Zadibal, SRM Welkin Sopore, Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Soura, Islamia Higher Secondary School, Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Hazratbal, and Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Khanyar.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, with Prof. Dr. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar of the University of Kashmir, serving as the Chief Guest. Prof. Basheer Ahmad Joo, Head of the Department of Management Studies at the University of Kashmir, and Mr. Bashir Masoudi, Former Head of Finance at SAIL and Chairman of the CMA Srinagar Chapter, attended as Guests of Honour.
Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) emerged victorious, securing the first position, followed by Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Khanyar in second place and SRM Welkin Sopore in third. In a special segment, students who passed the CMA Foundation courses were felicitated, including Anushah Gul, an alumna of GVEI, who was awarded for securing the first position in the CMA Foundation course for June 2024.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Naseer Iqbal interacted with students, advising them to focus on their careers and future aspirations. Prof. Basheer Ahmad Joo emphasized the importance of participation over winning, encouraging students to engage actively in such competitions. Mr. Bashir Masoudi provided insights into CMA courses and other associated opportunities in the field of commerce. Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Chairman of Green Valley Educational Institute, congratulated all the participating schools and reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to providing students with platforms for showcasing their talents and skills.
On the occasion, Principal M. D. Zargar also made his remarks, commending the students for their enthusiasm and preparation. He highlighted the significance of such quizzes in enhancing critical thinking and business acumen among students, encouraging them to make the most of the opportunities provided by the Institute. Principal Zargar expressed his pride in the Institute’s continuous tradition of excellence and looked forward to more such engaging events in the future.
