Srinagar Municipal Corporation launches IVRS based IP-PBX System and Biometric Attendance System.
Srinagar December 15,2022: Srinagar Municipal Corporation today launched the Interactive Voice Response System based IP- PBX System for 24×7 Control Room.The system was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mayor Srinagar, Mr.Junaid Azim Mattu along with Commissioner SMC, Mr.Athar Amir khan.The inaugural function was attended by Mr.Syed Abul Qasim,Joint Commissioner SMC, Mr.Mudasir Hussain, Secretary SMC, Mr. Suhail Chintsaz Chief Informatics Officer/ Chief Enforcement Officer, Mr. Altaf Hussain Mir GIS Expert/(Nodal Officer. 24×7 Control Room) and other Senior Officers/Officials of the Corporation.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion,The objective of the IVRS based IP-PBX system is to address the grievances of the general public within short span of time. The system will have a Toll free No(1800-180-7038/14420) for Helpdesk services, Built-in Multi level, Auto Attendant System for Automatic Voice Response currently operating in four different languages, 200 analog extensions for better and smooth communication within different sections of the department.
Sharing the toll free number (1800-180-7038) of SMC dedicated Helpdesk,Mr.Athar said that the establishment of IVRS based IP- PBX system will benifit the population in general and dignitaries today also launched the facial recognition attendance system for its employees.
Facial Recognition machines have been deployed in all its office buildings as well as in different sub-offices.This bio-metric attendance has been made mandatory for employees.
