SMC organises Vigilance Awareness Week,
Mayor Srinagar takes pledge to support the fight against Corruption associated with the theme “Corruption free India for a developed Nation”.
Mayor Srinagar Mr Junaid Azim Mattu today took integrity pledge for citizens to work together to eradicate corruption here in SMC Central Office, Karan Nagar in presence of all senior Officers of the Corporation.
Mayor on the occassion said that corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of our country and every citizen has a role play of being vigilant and commit to highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support fight against Corruption.
While taking Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge Mayor said that ” I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge on the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country”.
