Hon’ble Mayor SMC reviews arrangements for Urs Mubarak Khawaja Digar.
Srinagar September 29, 2022: The Hon’ble Mayor of Srinagar Muncipal Corporation, Mr Junaid Azim Matoo today paid a visit to the revered shrine of Hazrat Naqashband Sahib (r.a) in Downtown Srinagar to take the stock of arrangements made for a famed Urs Mubarak Khawaja Digar to be observed tomorrow. Mr. Matoo was accompanied by many senior officials and dignitaries from SMC, PDD, PHE, Health Department, SP North, SP Traffic and CMO Srinagar. While directing the SMC officials to ensure cent percent sanitation in the premises of the shrine and around the whole area, He also directed the PDD department to ensure uninterrupted power supply on the occasion, so that the faith full do not face any kind of difficulty while paying their obeisance at the shrine of revered saint. On the eve, Mr. Matoo has also directed the PHE department to maintain flawless water supply to the shrine in particular and around the area in general. He directed all the departments to keep all the necessary arrangements in place for the smooth conduct of religious proceedings in the shrine.
During the visit, while paying rich tributes to Sufi saint, Hazrat Naqashband Sahib (R.A), Hon’ble Mayor made special prayers for the prosperity and tranquility in the valley.
