Surprise market checking conducted in Kulgam
Kulgam,, CNS, O5-July:On the direction of District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Assistant Director FCS along with enforcement Authority conducted a surprise market checking in the main market of Kulgam and its adjacent areas.
AD Kulgam carried intensive market checking at main town Kulgam. During the course of checking fine was recovered from erring shopkeepers and Expire items were also destroyed.
The checking was aimed to ensure quality, to curb black marketing, profiteering of essential commodities, to keep vigil on erring shopkeepers.
AD Kulgam, Manzoor Ahmad told CNS that during the course of checking an amount of rupees ten thousand seven hundred were fined from erring shopkeepers whereas expire items were also destroyed.
“New rate list has been distributed and accordingly traders have been requested to display rate lists at their respective shops,” he said.(CNS)
