Tunnel at Khooni Nallah Makerkote Caves In; Casualties Feared
Srinagar, May 20 (GNS): Several labourers are feared to have died after a tunnel at Khooni Nallah Makerkote in Ramban district reportedly caved in late Thursday evening, official sources said.
They told GNS the tunnel collapsed leaving many persons trapped under the debris. “All those trapped belong to SARLA Company which had started the work of an audit tunnel a few days back at Khonillah tunnel NHW44”, they said.
“108 and 102 Ambulances are heading towards the site from SDH Banihal”, they further said adding there may be several casualties in the incident.
