Those luring youth towards militancy will be slapped with PSA; IGP Kashmir
Srinagar, CNS,30-May: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Monday said that those who motivate and lure youth towards militancy will be booked under Public Safety Act (PSA).
Talking to media-persons here, IGP Kashmir said that those who motivate and lure young boys towards militancy are being slapped with PSA. Adding that police is working on a multi-dimensional front to prevent local youth from joining militancy.
“Parents support is very must as they have played a vital role in bringing a large number of youth back. Besides, we are working on multi-dimensional fronts to prevent local militant recruitment and are tracking new recruits through technical surveillance,” the IGP said
About the Pulwama encounter, IGP said two local slain identified as Saqib and Abid affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit were involved in the killing of police constable Reyaz Ahmed on May 13 at Gudoora, Pulwama.(CNS)
