THE 220TH SESSION OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR FICTION WRITERS GUILD WAS HELD AT ITS OFFICE.
DR SHAD RAMZAN PRESIDED OVER THE SESSION.
The 220th Session of The Jammu and Kashmir Fiction Writers Guild was held on May 14, 2022 at the office situated at Abi Guzar Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The session was chaired by Dr. Shad Ramzan, a well known Kashmiri writer, critic and poet. Fiction Tehreer was read by Mr. Shafi Ahmed entitled Metamorphosis. After this, Razi Tahir Bhagat narrated his Kashmiri short story “Hitler”, which was followed by Urdu short “My Mona Lisa” by Dr. Manzoor Nazar . At the end of the session, young writer Tousif Raza presented his English story “Dreams. ” Those who were presented in the session were:
Mr. Ghulam Nabi Parwana, Mr. Masood Shadab, Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Kanth, Mr. Saleem Sohail, Mr. Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Mr. Altaf Hussain, Mr. Ahrar Amad Baig, Mr. Wasim Saleem Butt, Mr. Arshad Ahmed Butt, Mr. Mohi-ud-Din Shalzari and Mr. Jahangir Ayaz. Dr. Shad Ramzan in his presidential address highlighted the basic features of fiction and conveyed that the writer must use the current linguistic idiom in his works so the writer should master this linguistic idiom. Appreciating the efforts of the Guild, Dr. Sahib said that the Guild deserves congratulations for cultivating young writers. The session was hosted by Mr. Mushtaq B Barq, Chief Coordinator of JKFWG.
