Baramulla, May 14: In view of the recent issue of the Kashmiri Migrants, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Syed Sehrish Asgar today convened a meeting of all the officers of line departments in order to discuss the measures to be taken for the safety, security, rationalization and transit accommodation of migrants across the district.

On the occasion, a threadbare discussion on the subject was held during which Deputy Commissioner passed necessary directions to the line departments to ensure the safety of Kashmiri Pandits by shifting them from vulnerable areas to the safer places. Rationalization of migrant employees was also discussed in the meeting during which DC said that district administration will ensure the safety of all the migrant employees by providing them all the support they need.

With regard to the transit accommodation for Kashmiri Migrants, the Deputy Commissioner assured all necessary support to the migrant community from the administration, police and public about their safety and security, adding that there is no need to panic.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner also met Pandit Community of Baramulla and assured full cooperation to the community and further said that district administration is keeping close liaison with the migrant community for instant redressal of their issues.

Stressing for establishing communial harmony, the Deputy Commissioner warned that nobody will be allowed to disturb the peace and brotherhood in the region besides appealed to all stakeholders to come together and denounce the nefarious elements who are hell bent to damage the peaceful atmosphere.
