Srinagar Municipal Corporation sealed two structures at Humhama and one at Zaldagar under the supervision of Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mr Athar Amir Khan.
All the four said structures had major deviations and were in gross violation of sanctioned building permission plan.
Hence the Enforcement team headed by Chief Enforcement Officer Mr Suhail Chintsaz swung into action and sealed the said structures in presence of Commissioner SMC who was accompanied by various other senior Officers including Joint Commissioner Adminstration Mr Syed Abul Qasim, Joint Commissioner Planning Mr Ghulam Hassan Mir, Zonal Enforcement Officer Mr. Urfaan Hussain Mir and Concerned Ward Team.
SMC is continuing with its demolition drive throughout the city to curb the illegal constructional activities . Atleast 80 Demolition drives from December to till Date have been conducted and 180 structures demolished both commercial and residential in nature.
Also, more than twenty sealings have been done in different areas of the city.
Besides this the Anti Encroachment drive is being riguorsously conducted every day by Anti Encroachment squad of SMC under the supervision of Chief Anti Encroachment Officer Mr Mudasir Banday.
Several Anti Encroachment teams have been constituted to conduct daily drives in different parts of the city..
Atleast 565 prosecutions has been filed before Municipal Magistrate and a fine of Rs 45000/- has been imposed on violators/ street vendors for illegally occupying footpaths, roads and displaying goods and other commodities outside their shops.
