Following Friday of Mehraj-un-Nabi with religious fervor

Srinagar, Mar 4 CNS thousands of people today celebrated following Friday of Mehraj-un-Nabi with religious fervor and gaiety in the Kashmir valley.
The main congregation was held at Aasar-e-Sharief Hazratbal on the bank of Dal Lake, which houses the Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad.

Thousands of people, including women and children, joined the Friday prayers at Hazratbal shrine, where devotees had the “Deedar” glimpse of Holy Relic after the prayers. Devotees had the glimpse of Deedar of Holy Relic after “Fajr” (morning prayers). The process will continue till “Ishaa” (night) prayers.

The authorities had made all arrangements, including security, transport, electricity, water and medical for the devotees, who had gathered from all parts of the valley. Several government departments and NGO’s had set up stalls for the devotees.
Dozens of vendors had also set up their stall, selling their products outside the shrine complex.

Similar Friday prayers were held at historic Jamia Masjid, shrines of Hazrat Mehboob-ul-Aalam, Hazrat Sheikh Syed Abdul Qader Jeelani, Khanyar and Saraibala, Hazratbal Syed Sahib Sonawar, Hazrat Sheikh Nooruddin Wali Charar-e-Sharief, Hazrat Jenab Sahib Soura, Shahree Kalashpora and Hazrat Sheikh Dawood shrine.

Reports of Friday following Mehraj-un-Nabi celebrations were also received from other parts of the valley.CNS
