Dr Darakhshan Andrabi & other Members of J&K Waqf Board felicitated by Lt Governor at Jammu
Kashmiri Poetry Collection by Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem released by Mr Sinha
Jammu Civil Society for Art & Literature in collaboration with J&K Waqf Board today organized a felicitation ceremony for the newly appointed Board members & elected Chairperson at an event held at a hotel in Jammu. The ceremony was attended by Honourable Lt Governor of J&K Shri Manoj Sinha Ji as the Chief Guest. The Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi & newly appointed members Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem, Syed Mohammad Hussain, Sohail Kazmi & Nawab Din were felicitated by the Lt Governor Shri Manoj Sinha in presence of Shri Mohammad Aslam Qureshi (Rtd IAS) President, Shri Naseem Malik the Vice President & Shri Khalid Hussain Secretary of JCSAL. Many prominent citizens, bureaucrats, journalists & eminent personalities were present in the event. Speaking on the occasion Lt Governor said that Waqf in J&K is associated with public faith & the Board has a tough task ahead to steam-line the shrine-management & proper & productive use of assets & properties and the government will provide all support to the new Board at all levels.
On the occasion Kashmiri poetry collection ‘Rude Harand’ by Waqf Board Member Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem was released by Lt Governor & Dr Darakhshan Andrabi. Congratulating Dr Haleem for his poetry book, LG Mr Sinha said that these poems are of human concern & spiritual quest & such poetry lasts for long as it addresses the inner realities of every human in all ages. Speaking on the occasion Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that she along with her able & dynamic team has a huge challenging task of reforming the Waqf management as per the people’s expectations and the Board has begun the transformation in the Waqf Management system. Thanking JCSAL & Lt Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, Dr Andrabi said that the felicitation is yet another reminder of the responsibilities entrusted in us by the Govt of India & Honourable Shri Sinha jI & we will be working very hard under the guidance of visionary leader Shri Sinha to come up to the people’s expectations. The prominent persons who were part of the celebration included BJP General Secretary Organisation Ashok Koul, Ex-Deputy Chief Ministers Kavinder Gupta & Muzaffar Beg, BJP leaders Munish Gupta, Mayor & Deputy Mayor of Jammu.
