DC Gbl felicitates women PRIs on IWD/ launch of SWMPP

GANDERBAL, MARCH 08: (CNS):The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today handed over appreciation certificates among women DDC members, BDC Chairpersons and Sarpanches of proposed Panchayats of the district on the launch of Solid Waste Management Pilot Project (SWMPP).
The SWMPP was launched on International Women’s day (IWD) which is celebrated on 8th March by Commissioner Secretary Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Mandeep Kaur from Conference Hall Convocation Centre of Hospitality and Protocol, Canal Road Jammu virtually.
The felicitation ceremony was organized by District Panchayat Officer Ganderbal at VC room, here.
On the occasion, the DC complimented the women PRIs for their role in sustainable development and said that International Women Day is observed to celebrate the cultural, political and socio-economical achievements of women and to honour their leadership and contribution towards a sustainable future.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Assistant Commissioner Development besides women PRI representatives of proposed Panchayats were present on the occasion.(CNS)
