DC Budgam holds Public Darbar at Block Parnewa

Budgam, March, 23,CNS: The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today chaired a public darbar at Eid Gah Nuner in Parnewa Block of Khansahib.
On the occasion, Sarpanchs, Panchs and other respected form panchayat halqas of Dreygam, Falsal, Parnewa, Handjan, Bugroo, Lanura and other villages raised their demands and issues with the DC.

The DC issued on spot directions for the development of facilities including motorable bridge over Shaliganga Nallah, playfield, Panchayat Ghar and Health Sub Centre facilities at Dreygam panchayat halqa.

He also instructed concerned to connect identified habitations with Kalshipora filtration plant, ensure road connectivity development including work on Nuner- Kathwara & Dreygam- Babagund, removal of encroachments, macadimization at all identified spots to ensure better road connectivity to locals.

He also stressed on up-gradation of existing health and education related infrastructure including facilities of dental chair, USG and X- Ray at local PHC, besides improvement in both electricity and water supply to the locals under different schemes.

The DC further instructed Panchayat members to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of proper sanitation in all panchayat blocks of Parnewa. He urged PRIs to ensure ban on use of one time plastic items and dumping of garbage on roadside and in open areas.

He said stressed that public should use separate dustbins for proper disposal of garbage generated daily by the households.
The DC also directed concerned to ensure land identification for establishments of segregation sheds and dumping sites in each panchayat halqas for proper garbage disposal.

On the occasion, PRIs, elders and locals raised their demands and issues including creation of additional panchayat halqa at Falsal, removal of encroachment on Kaah Charai, speedy clearance of SHG loan cases, development of playgrounds, drinking water supply, Sumo service, ATM and J&K Bank branch facility, irrigation water supply, improvement in HT, LT lines, and issued related to health and education with the DC and demanded prompt redressal.

The DC ensured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for redressal.
Among others, ACD, CEO, CMO, Executive Engineers from various Engineering Wings, district heads of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, ARTO, BDO, DMO and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.(CNS)
