ARTO Shopian’s drive against extra fare charges
ARTO Shopian Mauzim Ali (kas) and Motor vehicle Inspector Mohammad younis khan today conduct a drive against passenger vehicles charging extra fare and plying with out passenger tax*
The ARTO shopian and officials conducted inspection of on the pinjoora -shopian route and found drivers charging extra fare on the said route while inspection the documents of various vehicle were detained.
Most of the vehicles found playing with out passenger tax,documents and violating Motor vehicle act norms challaned on the spot.
Besides Muazzam Ali (kas) said crucial checks such as validity of Fitness Certificate, transportation permit, vehicle insurance and compliance with the Supreme Court guidelines were part of the drive against errant school buss operators.
The school buses have to follow certain guidelines like installation of fire extinguishers, fixing of grill on the windows, installation of GPS and facilitating first-aid box with necessary medicines and equipment in the vehicle.
