MIPH Successfully Performed at Truama Hospital Pattan.
Pattan 21 Feb, Saleem, CNS: ist time Minimally Invasive Procedure for Piles was done in Trial Hospital Pattan of District Baramulla.
Hospital Sources told CNS that 48 year old male from Pattan area approached Doctors at Trial Hospital with chief complaints of bleeding per rectum. On clinical examination and further on sigmoidoscopy it showed interno- external pile masses at 6 & 9 o’ clock position.
They said that Patient was planned for haemorrhoidectomy
on 18 February 2022. MIPH (Minimally Invasive Procedure for PILES) was done under spinal anaesthesia. Post operative period was uneventful and patient was discharged after 2 days post surgery.
The surgery was performed by Dr Khurshid consultant surgeon and Dr Irfan, surgeon specialist.The anaesthesia team was lead by Dr Shahnaz and assisted by Mr Mudasir and Mr Mohd Younis,Mr Bashir Ahmad Bhat,Mr Abid and Mr suhail.
The surgery was fully cashless and was done under universal SEHAT scheme of J&K Govt. The overall logistic and administrative support was provided by Block Medical Officer Pattan, Dr Mastoora.(CNS)
