Maisuma Committees’ condemn chaotic traffic diversion towards Maisuma
Srinagar, CNS,11-Feb: Maisuma Behbood Committee has condemned the traffic diversion of almost all public vehicles to Maisuma creating havoc in already congested area.
A meeting conducted by Maisuma Behbood Committee was held in this regard in which Bazar Committee Red Cross Road led by its president Abdul Majeed Bhat, Bazar Committee Maisuma led by Altaf Hussain Dar.
The meeting observed that the business is incurring huge economic loss due to diversion of Maisuma.
President Maisuma Behbood Committee, Ajaz Ahmad War said that from Red Cross road there was space for three way traffic but in nonsense way all burden is being put on Maisuma causing further congestion in already Congested area.
The participants of the meeting expressed dismay that despite giving representation to DG Traffic and SSP traffic Javaid Koul and they assuring this serious issue would be addressed soon, nothing has happened on ground.
Maisuma Behbood Committee reaffirmed that this chaotic traffic diversion towards Maisuma is causing damage to historical sheen of Maisuma area and threatening in case of fire or emergency the residents of Maisuma area.
The participants urged the traffic authorities to tack back this chaotic traffic diversion towards Maisuma to safeguard masses. (CNS)
