Govt teachers flout ban, teach at coaching centres in Baramulla district
Baramulla,CNS, 19 Feb: Though there is a blanket ban on government teachers running or teaching at private coaching centres, the rules are being openly flouted in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Several Government teachers in District are still not in a Mood to attend their legitimate duties and are still doing Private Practice Instead of attending their regular duties at respective institutes.
According to Current News Service, CNS despite Clear Cut and repeated Direction’s from Government dozens of government teachers are still doing private practice in different Coaching Centre’s in Sub Division Pattan, Baramulla and other areas of North Kashmir. Instead of attending their duties these teachers are seen in their Private Coaching Centre’s.
It is Pertained to Mention here that The School Education Department in its already repeated circulars and instructions said that the practice of private coaching by government teachers became illegal in J&K under The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, which came into effect in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019 and provides for free and compulsory elementary education to children in the age group of 6-14 years.
Sources told CNS that Authorities have completely failed to Implement the Govt direction’s on ground and have given free hands to Some Government Teacher’s for doing their Private Practice even during School timing.(CNS)
