One day Legal Awareness camp for Women
HELP Foundation in collaboration with Maharaja Hari Singh Foundation conducted a one day legal awareness camp for Women in Srinagar. The session was held by supreme court Adv. Priya Hingorani. The lawyer dwelled upon the issues like domestic violence, property rights of women and other issues that confront women in their day to day life.
Later an open house session was held in which some affected women talked about their personal problems and sought legal advice for the same.
She also talked about district legal cell that is present in every district court were affected women can seek free legal recourse.
The session went very well and became very interactive.
At the end Ms Nighat Shafi Pandit chairperson HELP Foundation thanked the guest for her presence. She also thanked the women for attending the session and the media for covering it.
