Vikar Rasool takes over as new JKPCC President
Srinagar, CNS, 20-Aug; Congress today paid floral tributes to Former Prime Minister Late. Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary at Srinagar Party Office.

In a largely attended workers meeting held at Srinagar Party headquarter Senior Party leader led by AICC Incharge J&K Rajani Patil (MP) paid floral tributes former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary and recalled his selfless services and sacrifices to the Nation.

Addressing the party workers Rajani Patil exhorted party leaders and workers to get united to fight the BJP’s wrong and anti-people polices, urging them to strengthen the Congress party at grass roots, as that, it is the Congress Party which has served and shall continue to serve the people.

Prior to the meeting Rajani Patil, PCC President and other senior leaders paid floral tributes to Late. Shri.Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.

AICC Incharge termed Rajiv Gandhi a revolutionary leader, who is accredited of taking the prestige of the country new heights in respect of development, defence, IT, empowerment of people, who even sacrificed his life for the Nation, Patil added.

On this occasion Vikar Rasool Wani took over as New President of JKPCC and expressed gratitude to Sonia Gandhi Ji, Rahul Gandhi Ji, Ghulam Nabi Azad, K.C Venugopal and Rajani Patil for appointing him to the coveted post while assuring that he will do his utmost to further strengthen the Congress Party, at grass roots.

JKPCC President slammed BJP for diving and downgrading the J&K into UT to serve its political agenda. BJP has done tremendous blunder by making a full-fledged State as UT with the result people are feeling disappointed. He said the democratic rights too have been snatched, which is very unfortunate and reflects the divisive agenda of the BJP.

 

He said Congress Party is capable enough to fight against the BJPs vendetta politics, it will continue to highlight the price hike, rising unemployment, lack of development, misuse of agencies against the opponents at every appropriate forum to make BJP accountable and answerable to people.

Vikar expressed gratitude to leaders and workers for the rousing ovation they gave him on his arrival at Party Office and assured that he will represent their aspirations with full dedication and honestly.

Working President Raman Bhalla said that Congress Party represents the urges and aspirations of the people and is working as a bridge amongst the people of all shades and religions. BJPs attempt to change the narrative, besides distorting the history deserve strong condemnation, at the sametime, he said Congress Party will foil the BJPs agenda and will continue to work for the betterment of the people.

CWC Member and Chairman of the newly constituted Political Affairs Committee explained about the devastating results of the nefarious designs being enacted by GOI through Chief Electoral Officer by announcing the right to vote in J&K’s Assembly Elections to non- domicile people including Army and Paramilitary forces. He said GOI was forced to evolve this novel and nefarious designs, only when they failed to implement their earlier nefarious designs for bringing demographic changes by way of colonization on non-locals.

Karra emphasized the workers to gear up to fight for the identification of J&K, besides defeating the nefarious designs of BJP, which is hell bent upon to change everything in J&K to serve their vested interests, he maintained.

Former JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir welcomed Vikar Rasool Wani at PCC Office describing him a born and dedicated Congress man, who will leave no stone unturned to make the party more vibrant in every nook and corner of the J&K.

Former Dy.Chief Minister Tara also addressed the largely attended gathering and welcomed the party high command’s decision to appoint young and dynamic leader Vikar Rasool Wani as new JKPCC President, hoping that he will do his utmost to further strengthen the Congress Party at all levels.

Former Dy.CM told the party works that the best way to pay tributes to Rajiv Gandhi is to strengthen Congress Party and serve the people, as that, serving people of all shades is the Party’s legacy.

Former JKPCC President Peerzada Mohd.Sayeed, Former Legislators Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Gulam Nabi Monga, Former Vice Presidents Mohd Anwar Bhat, Amreen Badre, NSUI President Neeraj Kundan and others also addressed the gathering.(CNS)
