Amid “Hijab Controversy” Local women offer flowers to Hijab-clad students outside KU
Srinagar,CNS,14-Feb; Hijab controversy that has erupted in Indian southern state of Karnataka where a lesser-known Hindu outfit is demanding a ban on the Hijab in schools and colleges and The matter has gone to court. On Monday, local women in Srinagar were seen offering the flowers and chocolates to students with Hijab outside Kashmir University.
Speaking to CNS one of the women part of the group distributing flowers said that Wearing hijab is fundamental right and No one can snatch it from them. “Hijab is not a piece of cloth on our head. It’s a way of life.Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) has maintained that women should wear veil and not mingle with men,” she said.(CNS)
