World dentist day it is observed on 6th of March every year was celebrated in government dental college Srinagar
today on 7th of March the event was organised by department of public health dentistry government dental college Srinagar
A series of lectures was delivered by speaker who had come from various institutions of the valley. They event was opened by principal/ Dean professor Dr Riyaz Farooq who talked about dentist day and dentistry and elevated the moral of new budding dentists.All the faculty members post graduates and BDS students attended the lecture series from 2- 4pm. The topic of the lecture series was burnout and stress in dental professions an informative lecture on the topic was given by Dr. Aasim Farooq Shah Assistant Professor in department of public health dentistry government dental college Srinagar who was also the organising Secretary of the event.Professor Dr Shabir Ahmed Shah convener clinic society meet/pg and medical superintendent of the college also deliverer lecture on dentist day
Guest speaker Dr.Youman kawoos from Institute of Mental health and neurosciences of govt medical Colleges gave detailed lecture on prevention of work stress on dental professionals which will be help full for the budding dentist of the valley as well as senior dentists of the valley. Professor Dr Suhail Majid jan closed the ceremony with his closing remarks.
The program concluded on 4:00 pm with falicitation ceremony of the speakers
