Revenue Record of Father’s property worth crores missing, alleges Budgam family
Srinagar,CNS,03-Feb;A Kashmiri family alleged that revenue officials in Budgam have failed to provide them their revenue records of their property and that they were running from pillar to post to the same.
Syed Yousuf shah Kirmani of Budgam district had 6 sons and accordingly after his death. The land owned by him was distributed among his sons equally. However, one of his son Ahmad-u-din kirmani has been running from Tehsil offices to secretariats to get his revenue records, which as per him are missing from 2010.
“We had our ancestral land measuring 74 kanals and 7 marlas under Khasra no.3017, 3015 and 3013in Surasyar area of Chadoora Tehsil in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. The land was equally distributed among other brothers as per law. However from 2010, records of my land which is in our custody and we have sold part of it to other party also are missing from the official records” said Ahmad –u-din Kirmani.
While talking to CNS, Kirmani alleged that the officials surveys under Tehsildar,Naib Tehsildar and concerned patwari has been done 3, 4 times and accordingly, reports were submitted to higher authorities, “Most of the enquiry and survey reports delivered the verdict in my favour.”
“The officials also issued directions to concerned Tehsildar to get the records of land correctly indexed in the records, but nothing have been done yet”, kirmani alleged.
He, while showing documents,said that up to 2010,all revenue records were correctly indexed. However, after that year, no record is present with the department.
Kirmani said that he is running from pillar to post from 2010 to get official records. “Despite having official orders and survey reports, the revenue department has done nothing without giving me denial every now and then,” he added.
The Family has urged LG Manoj Sinha and revenue commissioner to get their grievance addressed on the priority basis.(CNS)
