Baramulla Police Solves Mobile Theft Case, Nine Mobile Phones Recovered.

Baramulla CNS 03 Feb: in a Speedy action Baramulla Police at Delina has Solved Mobile Theft Case and have recovered More than half Dozen Mobile Phones from him.

SSP Baramulla told CNS that On 01-02- 2022, Police Post Delina received a written application from Shakeel Ahmad Ganaie (complainant) resident of Sahipora Langate District Kupwara stating that while travelling from Sopore to Baramulla in mini bus he lost his mobile phone. Further he added that a person sitting next to him in the vehicle and got off from the bus at Delina market, the co-passengers told him that he is a renowned thief, perhaps has stolen his mobile phone. Acting upon this, case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation was set in motion.

During the course of investigation, a special investigation police team headed by SHO PS Baramulla assisted by IC PP Delina under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla was constituted and raids at several suspected locations were conducted simultaneously and finally arrested one thief identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Lone @ Barmuda R/O Delina Ghat. On his disclosure involvement of another partner namely Tahir Ahmad Dar R/O Delina Ghat was surfaced.

On their disclosure, 9 stolen mobile phones were recovered from them. They also confessed their involvement in different mobile theft incidents which took place within Baramulla and Sopore.

Investigation of the case is going on and more arrests are expected in near future.

General public of the area appreciated the action by Baramulla Police against the thieves.(CNS)
