World Bank Funded Bridge awaits Completion, JKPCC in deep Slumber.
Baramulla,CNS, 07 Jan: Despite World Bank Funding, Administration has failed to Complete the Construction of Bridge in Pattan area of Baramulla district.
According to Current News Service J&k Projects Construction Corporation ltd (JKPCC) Cuts Huge Population from Tehsil and District Headquarter in Year 2018 & since then has Failed to Complete Construction of Bridge at Trikolbak Pattan.
Locals of Trikolbal & Janwani pora Village’s of Sub division Pattan assembled and Protest against the JKPCC and Government for leaving thousands of Population Under open Sky without Road.
“The bridge hold importance in them so far as connectivity of many villages to several areas is concerned”, locals added.
Protesters alleged that in Year 2018 JKPCC Removed old Wooden Bridge between Trikolbal and Janwani Pora area of Sub-Division Pattan with the Promise and Direction that J&k Projects Construction Corporation ltd(JKPCC) within Working Months with 6.31 Crore Budget will complete it but unfortunately after Starting the work for few days , Executing agency has never Restarted their work due to Which thousands of People have been Confined in Village Without Road.
Since slow funding has been the main reason behind the twin bridges not picking up in their reconstruction work, it is hoped that the Government would address and resolve the grievence and ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow of need based funds to the projects so that using of risky makeshift foot bridges and other alternative methods of connectivity by the affected residents of the areas was over sooner than later.
Locals have requested District and divisional administration to Restore the Bridge So that they will not suffer anymore.(CNS)
