Transmission tower of Samba-Amargarh line damaged; Kashmir to witness additional curtailments for next two weeks: KPDCL

Srinagar, Jan 21 (GNS): The Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited on Friday informed that a transmission tower of Samba-Amargarh line has got damaged due to landslides in Thanamandi area of Rajouri, which will result in the additional power curtailments in Kashmir valley for next two weeks.

“Due to landslides at Thanamandi Rajouri, 1 tower of 400 KV Sambha-Amargarh Sterllite Transmission Line has toppled, because of land erosion as a result of which power supply to Kashmir Valley has got partially affected since intervening night of 20th & 21st January, 2022,” a KPDCL official told GNS.
