Kulgam achieves 100% Aadhar seeding of Consumers

KULGAM, DECEMBER 27: The district Kulgam has become one of the top performing districts in terms of Aadhar seeding of beneficiaries and FCS&CA department Kulgam is one of the first and leading districts to achieve 100 percent Aadhaar seeding of consumers.

This was revealed during a meeting of officers held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat to review the status of supply and stock position of essential commodities in the district.

During the meeting, the DC enquired about the status of supply and stock position of various essential commodities.

AD FCS&CA informed the chair that there are 310 sale outlets and a total number of 76 Dumping centers in the district. He also informed that the department has achieved 100 percent Aadhar seeding of beneficiaries in the district.

While briefing the meeting about the dumping status of 3 months, the AD informed that 26886 quintals of allotted ration has been lifted under NFSA, N-NAFSA, JKFES and PMGKY. It was also given out that there are 5200 filled LPG cylinders available in the district.

The DC directed the officers to ensure smooth distribution of ration and to provide ration in advance to consumers to avoid any inconvenience to people during winters.

He instructed concerned to intensify market checking and ensure availability and sale of quality goods and essential items at government notified rates.

He also instructed to carry out intensified market checking drives to curb profiteering and sale of underweight and expired items.

The meeting was attended by CPO, ACP, AD-FCS&CA, Tehsildar, TSOs and other officers.
