Man held with Arm and ammunition in Kishtwar: Police
Kishtwar Oct 28:(GNS) Police on Thrusday claimed to have arrested a person with arms and ammunition in district Kishtwar in Jammu division.
In a statement to GNS, the police said based on the inputs regarding moment of one suspicious person a Joint surprise Naka was established by Kishtwar Police, Army 26 RR and CRPF 52 Bn personnel at Malipath. During search of vehicles, passengers & Pedestrian, the Naka party noticed a suspicious movement of one person who was trying to escape without checking.
Accordingly, alert Jawans of Naka party overpowered him after he tried to escape and on his personnel search one desi made pistol (Katta) was recovered from his possession, they said.
The suspect has been arrested and identified as Salman Saleem @Jolee son of Mohd Saleem resident of Malipath Kishtwar, they said.
In this regard case FIR No.239/2021 under relevent sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and further investigation taken up, reads the statement.(GNS)
