SMC launches an extensive anti encroachmnet drive in the city.
Srinagar Municipal Corporation’s Anti Encroachment squad today launched an extensive Anti Encroachment Drive in Jahangir Chowk and Batamaloo along with its adjoining areas.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of Commssioner SMC Mr Athar Amir.
He was accompanied by Joint Commissioner Adminstration Syed Abuk Qasim,Chief Anti Encroachment Officer and other concerned team.
An action against encroachments along mains roads and markets was taken during the drive by seizing and removing goods displayed by street vendors and shopkeepers outside thier shops on spot.
The drive will continue against the violators with a stern action who shall not restrian in displaying their goods illegally and occupy roadside spaces thus resulting in traffic obstruction and inconvenience to pedestrians movement.
During the drive fine was also recovered from the defaulters..
