Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole inaugurates Blood Donation Camp organized by JK Teachers Association in Collaboration with JKECC.
Srinagar Dec 14 : (CNS) he Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr. P K Pole on Tuesday inaugurated a blood donation camp in the Auditorium Hall of Govt. Medical College Srinagar.
The day-long camp was organised by Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) in collaboration with the Jammu Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC) and SMHS Hospital Srinagar.
Teachers, Masters, employees and volunteers from different walks of life donated more than blood during the camp. Pertinent to mention here that Div. Com. Mr P K Pole donated 1 unit of Blood also.
Addressing participants and officials on the occasion, Mr P K Pole said there is a dire need to organise such camps frequently to inculcate in people the sense of selfless service to humanity.
“Blood donation is a great social service. Teachers can play a pivotal role in sensitizing the students and the society at large by spreading the message of the importance of blood donation in saving lives,” said Chairman JKTA Shah Fayaz who is simultaneously President of JKECC an Amalgam of different employee organizations.
General Secretary JKTA Haatim Qayoom said, “I complement those who made it to this camp today to set an example for others to follow.”
Prof (Dr.) Samia Rashid assured full support to endeavours like blood donation & thanked Chairman Shah Fayaz for the noble cause. (CNS)
