Pulwama Drug trafficking, doctor among three held
More arrests expected: SSP Pulwama
Pulwama, CNS, 04-Dec: Jammu Kashmir police have arrested three drug peddlers including a doctor in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Sources told CNS that Pulwama police arrested three drug smugglers in connection with a notorious drug trafficking case nearly two weeks ago and seized drugs worth millions in this notorious drug smuggling case.
While confirming the arrest of Dr.Samiullah, a resident of new colony Pulwama, posted at Zainapora hospital of Shopian district as gynaecologist, SSP Pulwama Ghulam Jeelani Wani told CNS that SIT headed by DSP headquarters Has been constituted in this case and more arrests are expected.
The SSP further said that the priority of the police is to curb drug dealers instead of drug users. He termed the performance of Pulwama police team as the best professional policing and said that he would do his best to provide a drug free environment to the youth.
Meanwhile, Police in this regard have registered case under FIR 302/21 and further investigations have been initiated.(CNS)
