JKAACL celebrates Hindi Diwas, holds student-level debate

Srinagar: As a part of it series of programmes being held in connection with the Hindi Diwas, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages Saturday organized a debate among the students of different schools of the Kashmir region. JKAACL is organising the unprecedented series of programmes to celebrate the Hindi Diwas this year under the guidance of Shri Suresh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary Dept of Culture, Govt of J&K and Smt. Harvinder Kour, Secretary JKAACL.
Writers, litterateurs, poets, teachers and students of different schools attended the function ad hailed the initiative taken by the JKAACL this year for the celebration of the Hindi Diwas on such grand scale.
Shri Sanjeev Rana, Additional Secretary, while welcoming the guests, emphasised the importance of the Hindi Diwas. He also underscored the significance of the Hindi language towards nation building and national integration. He urged the writers and the student community to work for the development of the national language at individual and collective level.
Dr. Mudasir Ahmad Bhat and Dr. Umar Bashir from Department of Hindi, University of Kashmir were on the jury for the debate.
Smt. Nidhi Pareekh, eminent Hindi poet and activist conducted the proceedings of the function.
Ankita Deep Singh, Sanvee Kour, Harshdeep Singh, Gurishesh Kour, Harsimran, Anhad Kour, Kiran Kshetri, Baiza Muzaffer, Bhaviya Kshetri, Harman Deep Singh, Ashmeet Singh, Piyoush Deep Singh participated in the debate whose results will be announced in a grand function on September 28, 2024, at Tagore Hall.
Dr. Farooq Anwar Mirza, Incharge of the Divisional Office Kashmir of JKAACL thanked the guests at the end.
