Kashmiri Athletes Shine at National Powerlifting Championship in Surat
In an impressive display of strength and skill, three athletes from Kashmir have emerged victorious at the National Powerlifting Championship held in Surat, clinching multiple gold and silver medals across various categories. The championship, which took place from February 24th to 25th, saw participants from across the country.
Inayat Ullah Khan, competing in the 75 kg weight category, dominated the competition by securing a gold medal in all powerlifting disciplines, showcasing his unmatched prowess. Meanwhile, Bilal Ahmad Kalla, in the 66 kg weight category, also made a remarkable impact by winning gold in both the bench press and deadlift events.
Not to be outdone, Hayat Mohd Khan represented the 105 kg weight category and achieved a gold medal in the bench press, along with two silver medals in the deadlift and squats, adding to the tally of accolades for the Kashmiri contingent.
