Mayor of Srinagar chairs a review meeting on “My Town My Pride” Jan Abhiyan Programme.
Srinagar December 1st, 2022: A review meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Mayor SMC today in Hon’ble Mayor’s Conference Hall to discuss the arrangement and preparation regarding the “My Town my Pride” programme and other issues. The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner (R), Joint Commissioner (S), Joint Commissioner (W), Secretary SMC, F/A CAO, and other senior officials from SMC.
The Hon’ble Mayor took a detailed stock of status of ongoing “My Town My Pride”Jan Abhiyan Programme running successfully in every administered ward of the Corporation. Seeking to allot 3-4 wards to each higher official, the Hon’ble Mayor directed the officials to personally visit the allotted wards to have a ‘hands on’ outlook of the ongoing programme. During the meeting eight locations were identified for two day programme on “My town My pride”.
Further Hon’ble Mayor directed Joint Commissioner (works) to make provisions for digitalization of the work done by each ward. “All civil work along with developmental projects executed and taken up by every ward should be documented in a digital format” said the Hon’ble Mayor.
Pointing out the grievance received from social media Platforms, Hon’ble Mayor directed JC(S)to constitute a team headed by a Nodal officer from each wing for SMC 24×7 grievance portal.” These officials will be provided training in public grievance redressal and they will meet weekly to seek how many grievances from social media platform were received and disposed of thereof” Hon’ble Mayor said in the meeting.
