To improve the living standards of the community and to make Earth a clean, green, and pollution-free planet, the Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Habbak, organised an anti-polythene drive, aiming to reduce the use of plastic with the motto “Be the change.” The rally was flagged off by Mr. Tariq Ahmad, Chairman of the Institute, wherein the students headed off to Shehr-e-khaas and vociferated slogans along with the posters and placards in their hands to enlighten and urge the people to stop the use of plastic for a healthier environment. Mr. Raja Zuhaib Tanvir, KPS, SP-North, was the chief guest and boosted the morale of students by joining the drive along with honourable guests SDPO-Khanyar, SHO Nowhatta, and SHO Khanyar. The students distributed environmental friendly bags, removed plastic waste from several places, and created awareness among the general masses.
