Awantipora Encounter: Contact with militants re-established: Police
Srinagar, May 30:(GNS) Exchange of firing between militants and security forces have started again at Rajpora area of South Kashmir’s Awantipora on Monday evening, officials said.
A top police officer told GNS that for awhile contact was lost with militants, however joint team of Police and army intensified the searches during which contact was again established with the hiding militants.
Earlier in a tweet the Kashmir Police Zone wrote, ” Encounter has started at Rajpora area of Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,”.(GNS)
