Thieves on prowl in Kulgam villages
Kulgam,CNS,10-Feb; Residents of various villages at Kulgam district have expressed concern over frequent theft incidents in the district.
A delegation from various areas including Chayan adigam, Devsar , sonigam, Sopat Tangpora, Chowgam, Devsar, yaripora ,Bogund ,Bogam of the district said that thieves struck in several houses in last over a month and decamped with valuables and goods.
“Today they barged inside the house of Ab Rashid Dar son of Gh Mohammad Dar at berigam kulgam and took away the cash of Rs. 10,000/ kept safe for fee remittance of his children,” said Ahmad, a local resident.
“It is not for first time that the incident has happened. It is happening frequently. But nobody among the authorities is bothering to look into the matter,” Ahmad said.
“We appeal senior police officers to direct the concerned police station to take measures for restoring sense of security in the area by arresting the thieves at earliest,” they said.(CNS)
