Lack of parking facilities irk Polo-view traders
Srinagar,CNS,01-Feb: Shopkeepers in Polo-view area of Srinagar city here have expressed resentment over lack of parking facilities saying this is affecting their normal life and business respectively.
On Tuesday, as a mark of protest, shopkeepers observed a shutdown. They downed their shutters and blocked the traffic.
While talking to CNS, Polo-View Traders Association, President, Haji Mohammad Ismail said that they are not against beautification of Srinagar city but they need a permanent parking space.
“If admin is going to make this heritage market, how can they ignore our genuine demands? These are the basic issues which should be addressed first,” President added.
The protesting traders said that more difficult than owning a car these days is finding a parking spot.
They said the business has got affected due to the closure of parking space. “No customer is coming to us because they have no space to park their vehicles,” a shopkeeper said.(CNS)
