PDD daily-wager dies of electric shock while repairing a wire in Baramulla
Srinagar,CNS, 28-Dec;A daily wager employee of the Power Development Department (PDD), Baramulla died while repairing an electric line in Rafiabad area of North Kashmir”s Baramulla district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Mohd. Ramzan Chopan resident of Rowach Rafiabad
“This is not the first time we have lost our colleagues. Our department is exposing us to a great risk,” said one PDD employee. “Despite growing death incidents, PDD isn’t taking proper measures to make our job risk free.”
Notably, scores of PDD linemen have already lost their lives in the line of their duty in the recent past in Kashmir.(CNS)
