Disaster Preparedness Training organised
Srinagar 26th March:
Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction DMRRR J&K in collaboration with SDRF & Civil Defence organised one day Disaster Preparedness Training for medical and Para-Medical staff of Non Governmental Organisation, HELP and KASHMER (Kashmiri American Society for Healthcare, Medical Education and Research). The organisation provides critical care ambulance service facility to patients in the golden hour of illness that helps reduce mortality & morbidity. The organisation also creates awareness among masses about importance of Pre- hospital care, which is a vital component of Emergency Medical Services.The staff members were provided training in Basic First Aid, Fire Fighting, Search & Rescue.
Aamir Ali, Nodal Officer, State Emergency Operation Centre Srinagar inaugurated the training in presence of Dr Syed Riyaz, Project Director of the organization. Training was conducted by a team from SDRF and Civil Defence led by Aijaz Ahmed.
